As drivers, the last thing we want to experience during a commute is an accident. However, some situations are simply unavoidable, and it is important to be well-prepared for a roadside emergency. A roadside emergency kit is a great way to make sure you have all the items you need to get out of a bad situation quickly and safely. A roadside emergency kit should include the following items:
- A first-aid kit to tend to any wounds or injuries is a must. Bandages, gauze, antiseptic, tweezers and pain medicine should be included in a good first aid kit.
- Food and clean water in case you must wait awhile for help to arrive.
- A fire extinguisher.
- A cellphone charger.
- Jumper cables and road flares.
These, however, are just the basics. The specific needs, ages and medical conditions of you and your passengers may require you to add a few items to your kit.
